When are the Park and Gardens open?
Every day from dawn to dusk
Is there a charge?
No. The Park and Gardens are free but there is a charge to use the tennis courts. Book through www.clubspark.lta.org.uk
Are there toilets?
Yes, at both the Parsonage (9.30am-4pm) and the Park (9am to 4pm or when the café closes). Male/female/disabled and unisex.

How do I get to the Park and Parsonage Gardens?
There are 3 entrances to the Park:
- Millgate Lane M20 2SD. (a small car park with 2 spaces for disabled visitors)
- Stenner Lane M202RQ. (another car park – by driving down Ford Lane)
- Wilmslow Road M202SG.
The entrance to the Parsonage Garden is on Stenner Lane adjacent to Ye Old Cocke Inn. M202RQ. Parking on Stenner Lane.
By Train
From Manchester Airport or the City Centre with all stops in between. Alight at Didsbury East Station. Turn left on Exit. Walk for approx. 7 minutes to either site.
By Tram
To Didsbury Village stop or Didsbury East stop. Walk to Wilmslow Road. Approx 7 minutes walk to either site.
By Bus
The 42 and 142 run from Manchester to East Didsbury;
23 runs from the Trafford Centre to Stockport via Chorlton, Didsbury and East Didsbury;
157 and X57 run from Manchester to Woodford via East Didsbury, Cheadle, Bramhall;
42A runs from Reddish to Manchester via East Didsbury.

Disabled Access to the Park and Gardens
All areas at the Parsonage are accessible.
Most of the paths within Fletcher Moss Park are suitable for pushchairs but wheelchair users may find some paths a little more challenging. The Rockery is not accessible to wheelchairs, but the WellBEEing garden was designed for accessibility and can be found close to the gate on Millgate Lane. Paths including those leading to the river are shale, not asphalt.
There is an outside, disabled toilet in Fletcher Moss Park. Indoor toilets can be found in the Old Parsonage in Parsonage Gardens.

How do I join the Friends or donate to their funds?
Membership is only £5 per year. Email ffmppg@yahoo.com. Our Membership Secretary will reply with BACs details OR bring cash on a Wednesday afternoon (The Park) or Tuesday morning (The Parsonage) to Margaret, our membership secretary. You will then receive a monthly update about the park and gardens, work of the volunteers and the right to attend our Committee meetings which are held quarterly.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, but with some restrictions. Please go to the Activities section in What’s On.
My relative/Friend loved the Park and Gardens. Can I have a memorial to them?
Yes, please contact ffmppg@yahoo.com.
Can we spread ashes?
Containers with human ashes CANNOT be buried -it is illegal. We discourage people from spreading Human ashes as they can severely damage plants because of their Ph value. It is insensitive for volunteers who may be gardening there and to other visitors. Thank you for your understanding and consideration. For further information please contact
