This month both Fletcher Moss Park and Parsonage Gardens were awarded ‘Level 5 Outstanding’ in the RHS ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood’ competition. Both sites were also awarded the Gold Award in the Large Parks and Small Parks categories respectively.
The volunteers who look after both park and gardens are to be congratulated, especially after the damage caused by the January floods, followed by months of drought which some trees have not survived. We look forward to receiving the detailed reports of the judges, and are already planning for the future resilience of the park and gardens.
We are proud also to have contributed to the Didsbury Ward’s Gold Award in the ‘Urban Community’ category.
