WellBEEing Garden

The WellBEEing Garden to the left of the Millgate Lane entrance was the idea of two Committee Members. It is for people to sit amongst plants who are unable to access the rockery – hence the “Well” but to be planted with pollinator friendly items – hence the “BEE”. The main funding came from the Government Ministry of Housing “Pocket Park” funds with additional contributions from MCC, RHS and built at cost by Clarkelambert Construction.

We hope in the future to organize it as a space for “social prescribing” where people who require some “low mood” support can take advantage of the benefits of gardening with a group and being outdoors.
