It was reported in the Manchester Evening News at the end of February that a report from Earth.fm, a website which enables listeners to access the sounds of nature, has revealed that Fletcher Moss Park is the most peaceful park in Greater Manchester. Manchester is the 6th noisiest city in the UK, coming behind Edinburgh, Swansea, Cardiff, London and Belfast. Places selected as quiet and serene were then given a “quiet” score by visitors. The newspaper decribed the park as “an oasis amongst the urban sprawl”. The Earth.fm website encourages people to ” turn off your device and go for a walk to encourage deep listening.” Off you go to Stenner Woods then!!
